Working On The Waterfront – SRQ Pool Cage Painting Knows Aluminum
After hiring a company to pressure wash his roof, this customer noticed the solution had dripped onto his roll-down screens and stripped off the paint. Curb appeal is important to any homeowner, but especially those whose backyard has an ocean view. Thankfully, SRQ Pool Cage Painting paints more than pool cages! We paint windows, sliders, railings, and roll-down screens (just to name a few).
This process was slightly different than our typical protocol for painting aluminum. Generally, our specialized paint does not require us to use a primer. In this case, we coated all of the metal with a bonding primer to ensure proper adhesion. Mannix Bronze was the color selected for this project, as this is the standard shade of bronze you would receive if you purchased new metal.
In just a single day, we were able to pressure wash, sand, prime, and paint all five roll-down screens. At the end of the day, the customer said they looked “better than brand new” before hopping on his boat. This waterfront home is now restored to its former glory. Instead of catching eyes for imperfections, it will be appreciated for its aesthetic.
